Most of my projects involve elements of both usability (UI/UX design and testing) and web development, but are primarily focused on one of the two. Some involve both significantly. Below is a gallery of projects I've worked on, starting with the most recent.

Based on provided design documentation and wireframes, I developed a responsive and searchable online video database for the Folktale Storytelling Digital Library. Additionally, I designed and developed an administrative interface for the superuser to manage video records.

For my master’s project, I conducted exploratory research on healthcare personnel perspectives about the visualization of physical activity patient-generated health data (PGHD) at an internal medicine clinic.

As part of a team project for a visual analytics course, I helped design and develop an interactive visualization for UNC’s Center for Global Initiatives to better identify intersections and trends in student application records for academic travel funding.

(Project title links to live demo.) I created an interactive visualization of heart disease mortality in the US for adults 35+ using JSON data from data.gov and Google Charts.

(Project title links to live demo.) I created a community website with responsive design using HTML5, CSS3 Flexbox, and JavaScript. It incorporates the Google Maps API and a jQuery image slider.

Usability Evaluation of Department Website

As part of a team project for a usability evaluation course, I helped design and conduct task-based usability testing on UNC’s School of Information and Library Science (SILS) website. The evaluation included semi-structured interviews, and post-task/post-test questionnaires.

Self-Generated Health Information Exchange (SGHIx)

(Project title links to published project paper.) I worked with a team of researchers and developers to help design the SGHIx web application’s user interface and user experience. Subsequently, I designed and conducted a pilot usability study to gather feedback on the application’s look and feel.
